Adventures in Lomo

The true joy of Lomo is the not-knowing. Digital photography is a beautiful, liberating thing, but I miss the excitement of going to the chemist to pick up my photos, and not knowing how they’d turn out!

In addition to this Lomo photographers like myself are always hunting expired camera film. Why? Because that makes the not-knowing even more unknown! Who knows what a 10 year old film will produce, especially when you process it in all the wrong chemicals! (Cue hysterical joyful laughter.)

So I started buying expired film on ebay, from junk shops and car boot sales and went snapping away. I even managed to pick up a Lomo Fisheye from a charity shop along the way!

The results were lovely, and a bit strange. Which is exactly what I wanted.
